I have been painting for over 10 years . My principal tutor was Clare Hackney who inspired me with my on going love of colour and design. This is expressed through the use of still-life , landscape and life drawing.
I often incorporate all three in one piece of work, overlapping images so that the eye is taken around the paper or canvas. Using acrylic paint makes it possible to achieve texture as well as thin washes.
Collage is an added dimension which I use in small areas- this provides depth and a different feel to my work. The materials might be self-printed papers, coloured images or Japanese papers which I dye myself.
Prices for my original work ranges from £80 to £800.
